Montclair Make Music Day 2017
This is the 4th year Montclair has participated in Make Music Day, a global celebration of free music that happens annually on June 21st, the summer solstice. Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to participate no matter what their skill level. Venues all around Montclair will host performances at different times all day and into the evening. The first Night Market on Glenridge Ave. was a festive and fun-filled event! I vended alongside familiar friends and networked with other local business people and artists, finding inspiration in our conversations, and renewed energy for on-going projects. Upcoming in June - Le Petit Night Market and Montclair Sidewalk Sale
June is shaping up to be a trio of celebrations right in my own neighborhood and I couldn't be happier about that! I also note which letter from the sign was cropped out for the banner. The first letter, M, was...
New Collage Banner
I created a new collage banner for the shop and I couldn't be happier with the results! The old banner was too low resolution and I have been meaning to redo it for a while. Today the light outside was perfect so I took a walk around my neighborhood and shot photos of signage that I thought looked interesting and colorful. I carefully chose one letter from each sign to create the word "Montclair", just as I had 9 years ago when I created the first collage. Can you identify any of the signs I shot? Please leave a comment...
